Ever since Billy Fletcher stepped onto Emmerdale his true intentions have remained a mystery. Bad or misunderstood? Ex-con or framed?
But fans finally appeared to get a glimpse of his dark side tonight as he was seen secretly brandishing a knife in his shoe.
With someone confirmed to be stabbed during the Big Night Out, fans were left fearing that Ellis could be stabbed by his own brother following their argument in the club.
After sending a threatening text to Billy, Max turned up at the club to spew out a number of threats towards Ellis.

Later Billy turned up and, once Max was thrown out, had a fierce conversation with his brother.
"He'll pay for this, I swear," Billy told Ellis.
But his brother was less than impressed, responding sarcastically: "Oh great. He made me pay for you, so you'll make him pay for me, then you'll get caught because you're stupid. You'll go back to prison, break mum's heart again and then maybe, just maybe, in the meantime Max will have carried out his threat to April. Master plan."
"Someone's angry," Billy muttered, infuriating Ellis even more.
"No, you're not going anywhere until we sort this out," Ellis said. "I'm just really bored of it being the 'Billy Show'.
"You know, Billy messes up - everyone suffers, Billy says sorry - everyone's fine. Billy messes up - again it repeats!"
"Do you know how hard it is to stay out of trouble?" Billy replied.
"You were going to do a robbery just the other day!" Ellis exclaimed in disbelief.
"For us," Billy insisted as Ellis scoffed. "Don't laugh at me!"
"What were you going to do, give me half of what you nicked?" Ellis remarked. "'Here's a few laptops, you're welcome'?"
Billy continued to insist that he had been doing it for them and that Ellis had thrown a "strop", angering his brother.
"I'm more annoyed at myself believing that you might change," Ellis raged. "And I honestly can't get my head around whether it's because you just don't want to or you're too st-"
Billy's anger got the better of him as he launched forward in fury: "You know nothing about my life!"
But Ellis continued: "You'll be going back to prison, because that's who you are Billy. That's where you belong and that's all you're good for."
Ellis then left his brother in the club, but Billy later emerged outside and looked shifty when he saw the police.
Walking down an alleyway, Billy turned around before bending down to lift up his trouser and show a knife hidden under his sock.
