During the past 30 days, the most Googled question about the Conservative leader in the UK was: “Does David Cameron support West Ham?”
The second: “Does David Cameron support Aston Villa?”
For his main opponent, Labour leader Ed Miliband, the most asked question was “What did Ed Miliband say to Russell Brand?” This suggests that his decision to do an interview with the activist-comedian has at the very least cut through.
Other questions in the top 10 for Miliband included “Who is Ed Miliband’s brother? (answer: David) and “Did Boris Johnson and Ed Miliband go to the same school?” (yes, they went to the same primary).
The top question about the Liberal Democrat leader, Nick Clegg, and the Ukip leader, Nigel Farage, asked who their wives were. People on Google also wanted to know why Clegg had apologised for his support of a raise in tuition fees, what the “Nicola Sturgeon memo” was, and what did Natalie Bennett say on LBC?
