Does Bongani Zungu start in Rangers strongest XI? Have your say on what Gerrard's best side is

There's no question Rangers have strengthened their squad this summer, with much more depth and quality all over the pitch.

While there was an over-reliance on Alfredo Morelos last season, Steven Gerrard has brought in Kemar Roofe and Cedric Itten to rectify that and help lift the burden.

Ianis Hagi's loan deal has been made permanent, and he's already showing what he can do with goals and assists in the early part of the season.

In midfield Bongani Zungu comes in to provide competition for Ryan Jack, Steven Davis, Glen Kamara, Scott Arfield and Joe Aribo.

And at the back Leon Balogun strengthens the central defensive position while Calvin Bassey gives Rangers an alternative to Borna Barisic at left back.

That's without mentioning the capture of 'keeper Jon McLaughlin who looks an excellent piece of business.

Just as important as the incomings for Gerrard was keeping hold of the likes of Ryan Kent and Barisic, while Morelos' future has now been cleared up after a summer of speculation.

With all of that in mind, the Rangers boss has some big decisions to make when everyone returns to full fitness.

So what exactly is Gerrard's strongest XI? Have your say using our widget below.

We'll run an article revealing the most popular team later this week.
