Dodgers president Andrew Friedman closes sale of Florida home

Nov. 24--Andrew Friedman, the new head of baseball operations for the Dodgers, has struck a deal for his home in St. Petersburg, Fla., selling the waterfront residence for its asking price of $2.35 million.

The Mission-style residence, on more than a third of an acre fronting the mouth of Snell Island Harbor, is entered through a gated drive. Designed for indoor-outdoor living, the residence has a covered lounge, multiple outdoor fireplaces, an infinity-edge pool and a private dock with a boat lift.

The five-bedroom home sports hardwood flooring, stone accents and vaulted ceilings with exposed beams throughout 4,265 square feet of living space. Features include a living room with a cut coral fireplace, an updated chef's kitchen and a master suite with a large walk-in closet.

Outdoors, the water-facing grounds center on a large loggia with an outdoor kitchen and a fireplace. An additional outdoor fireplace sits off of the living room.

Friedman, who joined the Dodgers front office in October after a decade with the Tampa Bay Rays, had a contingent offer in place when he listed the home for sale in early November, records show. He paid $1.75 million for the home in December 2010.

Sale of the property closed on Thursday, the day after the Dodgers acquired pitchers Joel Peralta and Adam Liberatore from Friedman's former team in exchange for pitchers Jose Dominguez and Greg Harris.

Bonnie Strickland of Re/Max Metro was the listing agent. Lori Famiglietti of Keller Williams represented the buyers in the sale.
