Dodgers Acquire Rays’ Tyler Glasnow in Four-Player Trade, per Report

The Dodgers have agreed to acquire Rays pitcher Tyler Glasnow in a four-player trade, ESPN’s Jeff Passan reported on Thursday. The deal is contingent on Glasnow signing a contract extension with Los Angeles.

Glasnow, 30, is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent after the 2024 MLB season on his current deal.

Rays outfielder Manuel Margot will also head to Los Angeles, while Dodgers pitcher Ryan Pepiot and outfielder Jonny Deluca will join Tampa Bay.

The Dodgers continue to stack their roster. The Glasnow trade was reported shortly after the organization hosted an official introductory press conference for two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani, who signed a 10-year, $700 million deal last week.

Glasnow spent the last five-and-a-half seasons with the Rays. He posted a 3.53 ERA in 21 starts (120 innings pitched) in 2023 while whiffing a career-high 162 batters.

Margot batted .264/.310/.376 with 21 doubles in 99 games for Tampa Bay last season.

Ryan Pepiot, 26, logged a 2.14 ERA in eight appearances (42 innings) for the Dodgers, while Deluca made his MLB debut in June and went 11-for-42 (.262 average) in 24 games.
