ISIS militants are plotting kidnappings and suicide attacks in Europe after the terrorist organizations lost the last of its territory in Syria, The Sunday Times reported.
ISIS extremists are setting up sleeper cells in Syria and the West, it said.
According to letters written by the militants, the extremist group is aiming to recruit “as many suicide bomber brothers as possible” and gather an arsenal of weapons.
The terror group's plans are revealed on a hard drive which was left behind during a battle in eastern Syria.
The hard drive also included documents which contained the names of hundreds of militants, their budgets and correspondence.
ISIS took large swathes of Iraq and Syria from 2014, imposing a reign of terror with public beheadings and attacks by supporters abroad - but it was eventually beaten back to the village of Baghouz.
Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) general commander Mazloum Abdi told a victory ceremony on Saturday that ISIS was destroyed and that the group lost its ground control in its last pocket of Baghouz.
But while its era of territorial rule may be over for now, there is near universal agreement that ISIS remains a threat.
