Mental health issues have affected eight out of 10 doctors in England, according to a survey by Cardiff University.

The study,which consulted almost 2,000 British doctors at various stages of their careers, found that 60% had experienced mental illness (the figure is 82% in England) but that most had not sought help.

It was noted that trainees and junior doctors are less likely to admit to having a problem than those in more senior roles.
