A woman asked her doctor to flush out her ears after a hearing complaint and was shocked when they discovered she'd had an object lodged in there for the past 22 years.
TikTok user Jordan shared the news with her followers, in a video captioned "when you go to the doctor for a cold and they flush your ears out and find a surprise", and features an image of the grim discovery.
As reported in the Daily Star, the small white tube, which was discovered covered in a thick layer of ear wax, had been inside her ear from when she was four until she was 26-years-old.
She revealed that when she was a youngster, she had grommets in her ears which are supposed to naturally fall out within a year, but for Jodran that never happened.
Jordan shared the grim story back in June and since then it has been viewed more than 750,000 times, with people now fearing for their own ears.
One person commented: "Oh God, I hope mine aren't in there! I had three sets when I was little."
"I was told mine had fallen out now I am super worried," confessed a second viewer.
Someone else wrote: "Dude no joke the same thing happened to me.
"I found out because of that TikTok trend with the ear camera and could see it and I had tubes put in when I was 18."
Another viewer commented: "I'm 27 and went to ear nose and throat hospital to get it taken out."
"Bruh mine put a hole in my eardrum and I had to have surgery to patch it," wrote someone else.
