Filming for Doctor Who reportedly took place in Bristol last night (October 22), according to social media rumours.
Clifton Suspension Bridge was closed overnight for inspection work, opening again at 6am today.
But some social media users posted pictures suggesting that scenes were being shot for BBC show Doctor Who.
One image published on Instagram appears to show a number of daleks on the famous crossing.
The BBC declined to issue a statement after being approached by Bristol Live.
The bridgemaster for Clifton Suspension Bridge has been contacted for comment.
The 12th series of Doctor Who, starring Jodie Whittaker, is expected to air soon.
