Doctor Who fans can expect new series to raise the fear factor in epic twist

Doctor Who fans should prepare for the fear factor to be raised a notch in the new series.

The boss Chris Chibnall says the show has gone “up a level” from last year.

He added: “I think we’ve got some amazing monsters. It’s probably a bit scarier. And we’ve definitely got some bigger action set pieces.”

Jodie Whittaker, who plays the Doctor, said she screamed in genuine terror during filming. She added: “One of the notes from the director was ‘I know you’re scared but the Doctor would probably contain it a bit more’. I can’t cope with something coming out of the dark.”
