Doctor Who Adventure Games
Doctor Who: The Adventure Games will consist of four original 'interactive episodes' developed by Sumo Digital

"Doctor Who: The Adventure Games will offer fans of the Doctor a unique opportunity to enter his world, face his challenges and grapple with his deadliest foes," says head writer and executive producer Steven Moffat

"A few years ago we couldn't have dreamt of commissioning such an innovative form of drama," says Simon Nelson, the head of BBC multi-platform. "By integrating the creation of these 'interactive episodes' with the development of the TV series, we've been able to create amazing two-hour dramas in which you control the action."

Players will be able to take on the roles of the Doctor and companion Amy Pond to explore worlds both old and new

"Everything you see and experience within the game is part of the Doctor Who universe," says Doctor Who executive producer Piers Wenger. "We'll be taking you to places you've only ever dreamed about seeing – including locations impossible to create on television."

As well as some new and original monsters, some old favourites will also crop up in the games ... including the classic Cybermen

will be available to download for PC and Mac
