Phase Four of the MCU is starting to take more and more shape.
We have known for some time that there will be a Doctor Strange sequel after Avengers Endgame for a while now, and we think we know the film's Doctor Strange 2 UK release date, sequel cast, plot, villains too.
Benedict Cumberbatch is due to reprise his role as the hero, alongside leading lady Rachel McAdams as Dr. Christine Palmer and Benedict Wong as sorcerer Wong.
However, some apparent leaks from Twitter MCU-spoilerer Roger Wardell have suggested we are about to see another return in addition to some new arrivals.
Wardell tweeted: "Doctor Strange 2: 1980's Boogaloo. Tilda Swinton is in talks to return as the Ancient One. Jericho Drumm and Clea will make their MCU debuts, Clea will likely be portrayed by an Asian actress. Most importantly the gloves will be back!"
So, let's unpack these.
The 1980s Boogaloo is likely the type of aesthetic that the film will be going for visually, which is no surprise as the first film had some groovy visuals.
Secondly, it would be no shock to see Tilda Swinton return as the late sorcerer supreme that is The Ancient One, following on from the character's pivotal appearance in Avengers: Endgame.

Hopefully, she gets more to do than just explain time travel!
Additionally, the appearance of Jericho Drumm suggests that the Marvel Comics superhero Brother Voodoo may be about to have an important role, as the character replaced Doctor Strange as the Sorcerer Supreme in the comics.
Would Brother Voodoo be a hero or villain here though if he's a rival sorcerer supreme?
We suspect Karl Mordo will still be the big bad regardless.
More interesting is the inclusion of Clea, who in the comics is a sorceress, chief romantic interest of Doctor Strange, and the niece of villainous demon Dormammu.
Marvel may also be continuing its precedence of ethnic diversity if they do cast an Asian actress in the role.

What would this mean for Strange's relationship with Christine, though? And does this mean that Dormammu will be back as the new main villain?
Finally, fans would love to see Strange's fabulous gloves back for magic, as they sat out from Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
We'll have to wait and see if these turn out to be true!
