He's faced the daleks, the cybermen, and, er, some killer shop window dummies. Now Doctor Who faces his biggest foe yet - Peter Kay.
Disappointingly, Kay will not be playing the "wardrobe monster" that scared a little girl witless in one of his ads for John Smiths bitter. Nor will he be the "beast from planet 2-lamb bhuna", but a "cold and powerful baddie called Victor Kennedy".
The BBC1 series certainly hasn't had any trouble attracting big name guest stars since its return last year, with the likes of Richard Wilson and Penelope Wilton in the first run, and Anthony Head, Maureen Lipman and Sophia Myles lined up for the next.
But who would you like to see take on the doctor? And what would you like to see them play?
