Doctor Hilary has issued a stark 'Grim Reaper' warning to Brits in response to crowds of people congregating as pubs re-opened at the weekend.
It' had been well over three months since pubs, bars and restaurants shut their doors as coronavirus spread across the UK, with their closure coming days before Prime Minister Boris Johnson put the country on lockdown.
But on Saturday, July 4 they opened their doors once again on what became known as ' Super Saturday'
As many Brits got excited about heading back to their local, Good Morning Britain health expert Dr Hilary says that he wouldn't be going anywhere near a pub and thought it was 'unwise' hospitality venues were re-opening on a weekend.
And, looking at scenes of drinkers packed together outside bars in Soho, central London on Saturday, he called it like 'human soup, adding: The Grim Reaper is in there asking if you want to buy the second round.
"That i(London) is a rarity, most people behaved sensibly and responsibly."
GMB host Lorraine Kelly added that where she had been over the weekend it had been quiet, reflecting the scenes in Newcastle city centre, where many bars remained closed.
