Doctor concerns The Chase viewers with wrong answer to human body question

Viewers of The Chase were left concerned by a doctor's wrong answer to a question about the human body during Tuesday night's show.

The ITV quiz programme can always be relied onto throw up a few talking points, with host Bradley Walsh regularly taking pot shots at the Chasers, being left in hysterics by rather risqué answers or by the contestants' eccentricities.

There was a doctor in the house on Tuesday when Jullien stepped up to the plate to try and win some big money.

However, while at the end of his Cash Builder round which saw him reach £8,000, Bradley told him: "You're a good player, there's no question about that," it was Jullien's wrong answer from a few seconds earlier that had viewers worried.

Bradley asked Jullien: "What organ of the body regulates blood volume and destroys old red blood cells?"

Jullien answered spleen but Bradley gave the correct answer as the liver.

Alarmed at home, one viewer tweeted: "Is no one going to mention that a doctor doesn’t know the difference between the liver and spleen?! Glad he’s not my GP."

Equally shocked, another posted: "That's made his patients switching doctors.," while a third joked: Patient: I’ve got something in my eye and I can’t see Doctor Jullien: Don’t worry - we’ll remove the spleen…"

However, having sympathy for Jullien, another Chase fan reacted: "Feel really sorry for that doctor that got the answer 'wrong' on the chase because he was asked what organ destroys old rbc's and regulates blood volume which is the spleen and the kidney but apparently the answer was the liver??? he answered half the question right"
