Doctor charged with carrying out sex attacks at two hospitals

A doctor has been charged with carrying out sex attacks at two hospitals.

Salman Qureshi, of Eleanor Gardens, Aylesbury, faces two counts of sexual assault of a female, and assault of a female over 13 by penetration.

The 39-year-old is to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court on Friday September 13.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "The charges are in connection with incidents which occurred at the Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury and Wycombe General Hospital, High Wycombe, between September 2005 and August 2018."

A spokesman for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust said: "We can confirm that Salman Qureshi is no longer employed by the trust.

"However, as this case is subject to a police investigation, it would be inappropriate for us to make any further comment at this stage.

"The safety of our staff and patients is our number one priority and we are giving the police our full co-operation."
