NEW DELHI: The Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association of India has written to Union health minister seeking withdrawal of the order to start non-emergency OPDs in hospitals run by Centre, including Safdarjung, Ram Manohar Lohia and Lady Hardinge.
“Adding non-emergency OPD services will add to the existing workload and adversely affect the physical and mental health of the resident doctors,” said a FORDA representative. A directive to start Sunday OPD in centre-run hospitals was issued on October 7.
