BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. _ Move over Mary Crawley. For British actress Michelle Dockery's next act, the former "Downton Abbey" star is putting on American accents, robbing upscale hotel guests and doing drugs in TNT's "Good Behavior," premiering at 9 p.m. Nov. 15.
In the premiere episode, Dockery's Letty Raines overhears a hitman (Juan Diego Botto) plot to kill a woman. Ultimately, Letty and the hitman become entangled criminally and romantically.
"It's about two lone wolves who crash into each other," said "Good Behavior" executive producer Chad Hodge during a TNT press conference at the Television Critics Association summer 2016 press tour. "Letty is trying to be a better person and it's really a totally (screwed) up love story over the course of the first season. You follow the journey of these two people sort of redeeming each other."
Dockery said she fell in love with the character and the story.
"I was very fortunate that something so different from what I'd been doing for the last six years came my way," she said of Letty, who gets high on what appears to be meth before the end of the first episode. "Some of the best characters don't always behave well."
Just imagine what the Dowager Countess might say to that!
