Dockers star Kiara Bowers avoids AFLW ban

Kiara Bowers has been cleared to turn out for Fremantle in Sunday's AFLW derby against West Coast. (AAP)

Kiara Bowers' hopes of winning this year's AFLW best-and-fairest award remain alive after the Fremantle star escaped with a reprimand for a tripping offence.

Bowers tripped Brisbane's Jessica Wuetschner in the dying stages of Fremantle's upset 11-point loss to the Lions on Saturday.

The incident was not deemed serious enough to warrant a suspension, and she can accept a reprimand with an early guilty plea.

Bowers currently leads the AFLW's coaches' association award, and is one of the favourites to take out the league's best-and-fairest after finishing runner-up last year.

North Melbourne's Vivien Saad is set to miss Friday night's clash with Richmond after being offered a one-match ban for her forceful front-on contact against Carlton star Tayla Harris.

The incident was assessed as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact.

Gold Coast's Lucy Single escaped with a reprimand for her front-on hit against West Coast's Alicia Janz.
