The Government is planning to give people the right to vote on whether their neighbours can build extensions.
In the Queen's Speech, delivered this week by Prince Charles, Parliament was told "the planning system will be reformed to give residents more involvement in local development” as part of the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill.
According to the BBC, that means communities will be able to vote on whether planning permission should be granted to existing homes on their street, and to decide rules governing the layout and materials used.

The legislation would also allow communities to decide on the design of new homes in their street.
What do you think? Do you think your neighbours should have the right to decide if you build an extension, and how much money you spend on it? Do you think it's about time you had the right to stop your neighbour from building an extension?
