Do you think The Queen will abdicate after the Jubilee?

With the Queen dropping out of this week's State Opening of Parliament, we want to know what you think about the future of the crown over the coming months. Prince Charles made the speech instead, with the Queen initially expected to deliver it until an announcement the evening before (Monday 9 May) from Buckingham Palace confirmed that she would not be attending.

After catching Covid earlier this year, the Queen has since pulled out of a number of high profile events in recent weeks.

Making the announcement on Monday evening, the Palace said: “The Queen continues to experience episodic mobility problems, and in consultation with her doctors has reluctantly decided that she will not attend the State Opening of Parliament tomorrow."

It was the first time the Monarch had not attended the event in almost 60 years.

Following this week's absence, we want to know your thoughts on whether or not the Queen may retire, and who from the Royal Family you would like to see step up.
