The magical world of Harry Potter is fraught with danger – dementors, giants, malevolent unicorn killers, and now: mispronunciation. After seven films and seven audiobooks, JK Rowling has finally stated that Voldemort should in fact be pronounced in a French way, without the final T.
On seeing this tweet by Michael Lucero, lovers of Harry Potter may have been laughing at their screens. Voldermort without the T? Don’t be ridiculous!
@Universe_Box One piece of Harry Potter trivia I always forget to mention: the "t" is silent in Voldemort, according to @jk_rowling.

However, Rowling’s response will have caused a few red faces:
... but I'm pretty sure I'm the only person who pronounces it that way. https://t.co/HxhJ5XY5HP

Does this mean they are going to have to make more films with the correct pronunciation? Fingers crossed.
