A new annual charge has been introduced for green waste bin collections in the city.
Liverpool Council approved plans for a £40 per year charge for green waste bin collection which will be introduced from Monday, April 18.
The new scheme has sparked a lot of response online with some questioning whether residents will join the scheme.

The council believes that the charges could raise £1.7 million each year.
It can be paid on the council's website, at a One Stop Shop or by phone on 01512333001.
Residents who do not wish to pay will have their green bins removed at some point in the future, unless they wish to sign up in the future.
