Do These Things First in Madden 26 Ultimate Team

If you’re trying to build an elite team of current greats and legends from the past, you’ll need to get your Madden 26 Ultimate Team off to a good start. There are a few things to do and know right away if you want to dominate this year. But we’ve got you covered with tips to get you off to a great start.

Know Your Currencies

Madden 26 Ultimate Team features various currencies that you should become familiar with. They all do different things, and they’re all earned in different ways. You’ll want to know how to get each kind and what you can spend them on.

  • Coins: MUT coins serve as the base currency in the Madden 26 Ultimate Team auction house. You can’t earn them by quickselling MUT cards, but you can grind them in both the Field Pass and in Challenges or Events. Playing games will earn you coins quickly, especially if you’re progressing through the Field Pass. Spend them on players or items inside the Auction House.
  • Training Points: These points are valuable and can be earned by quickselling players that you earn. The player’s overall rating determines quicksell values. Training points are spent to upgrade players and purchase specific items in the marketplace.
  • Points: Points are used to purchase pack bundles. The only way to get them is to spend real-world money in the store. There are points bundles in the store for as much as $149.99 USD.
  • Season Tickets: Madden 26 Season Tickets are similar to Trophies in College Football 26 Ultimate Team. Earn them in the Field Pass as you level up. If you choose to invest in the premium edition of the Field Pass, you’ll get even more Season Tickets.

Learn The Field Pass

Madden 26’s Field Pass is the game’s version of a battle pass. There are multiple Field Passes running at the same time, with one for Season One, one for Events, and one for Season Standouts. In addition, you can earn cosmetic items for your favorite team by selecting them and leveling that path up.

To earn XP toward different Field Passes, you have to complete objectives. Each objective will reward you with Season XP, coins, or packs when completed. There are daily and weekly objectives, so it’s essential to know what they are when you play. You’ll also find objectives for specific programs, like Pregame Access.

Most importantly, there is a crossover objective for fans who have played College Football 26. Completing this will get you quite a bit of XP to start, so you’ll definitely want to do that if you’ve played both games. You can complete it in sets in the “UT Crossover Tip” card

Grind Challenges, Solos, And Events

Challenges and Solos in Madden 26 can get a little repetitive, but they’re one of the best ways to improve your team quickly. You’ll earn a ton of packs from hitting stats and winning games, as well as completing goals in the Field Pass, and you should earn a bunch of coins along the way.

Madden 26 Challenges are essentially moments in games. Each one will require you to do a specific thing, like pass for a certain amount of yardage or score within a few plays. There are secondary challenges that will get you more stars, and higher difficulties get you even more stars if you’re successful. Rack up enough stars, and you’ll get packs, boosts, coins, and even player cards.

Solos allow you to play through seasons against the CPU. Some require an entry fee, while others are free to participate in. There are different difficulties depending on which one you choose, with the higher difficulties bringing better rewards. Win enough games, make the playoffs, and cash in with some packs, coins, and more.

Events are themed games you can play in Head-to-head or against the CPU. They have special house rules, making it a nice change of pace from ordinary games. For example, the first event is called Longest Drive, and it’s related to the Preseason Standouts series. You get seven plays to score, with additional points earned for sacks, completions over 15 yards, and rushing touchdowns of more than 10 yards. The first to 28 or whoever has the most points when the clock runs out wins.

Complete Sets

Sets are another way to get more players and packs. You can trade in player items or other cards in specific sets for rewards. Sometimes the reward is a better player. Sometimes it’s a pack you can open. Either way, the more upgrades you can get early in the game, the better your team will be when you decide to jump into online play.

One of the most user-friendly features of Madden 26 Ultimate Team is that it lets you know which sets can be completed. Navigate to “Sets” in the “My Team” screen and identify which sets can be completed. You should also keep a lookout for sets you’re close to finishing so you can try to get those cards.

Keep Or Sell?

So, you just pulled a great card and are unsure of whether to keep or sell it. Ultimately, you should do what you want—if you want to run a great team right away, keep every elite player you pull. However, if you want to capitalize on the inflated early coin market, consider selling some of them.

Early in the Madden 26 cycle, 84 or 85-overall players will sell in the auction house for hundreds of thousands of coins. Selling the Joe Burrow card you pulled might earn you enough coins to significantly upgrade multiple positions on your team. My personal exceptions to this are receivers, corners, and offensive linemen. They can make the difference between winning and losing more than other players.

You can only sell certain kinds of cards, though. There are two types of player cards in Madden 26:

  • Standard Cards: These are the cards you buy from the auction house or pull from any pack you purchase in the store. They can be sold in the auction house for coins.
  • BND Cards: A card marked with BND on it is bound to your account. You can’t sell it for coins. However, you can quicksell it for Training.
