Do not eat these Birds Eye chicken nuggets as they may contain pieces of plastic

Specific batches of chicken nuggets are being recalled from stores over fears they could contain plastic.

Some batches of the golden wholegrain nuggets by Birds Eye have been deemed unsafe to eat.

Products produced over a short period of time may contain small peices of clear plastic.  

A spokesperson said: "Birds Eye apologises for the inconvenience to all our consumers.

"If you have bought any of the above batch codes DO NOT EAT. Instead, return to the store from where it was bought for a full refund." 

Customers are advised to check the batch code on the pack.

The products affected 

Brids Eye 50 chicken nuggets with golden wholegrain - 790g with the best before date of October 2020.

Batch numbers (that can be found on the back of the pack): 

L9208 W V124   

L9208 X V124  

L9208 Y V124   

L9208 Z V124

No other batch codes or Birds Eye products are affected.
