Fans have been reacting to comparisons between Jack Grealish and Newcastle United icon Paul Gascoigne.
Following Grealish's starring role for England during the international break, plenty have compared his undoubted talent with that of Gascoigne's, arguing both had the ability to do the unpredictable.
Yet not all are on board with comparing the 25-year-old to one of Newcastle's favourite sons.
Newcastle United fans, in particular, have been left stunned at the comparison, claiming that it is unfair on Gascoigne to even speak of Grealish in the same breath.
Yet there is also the argument that the talk puts the sort of undue pressure on Grealish that Gascoigne himself struggled to live with.
Yet Grealish himself seems unfazed by the talk - but said it was too early for the comparisons to Gascoigne.
"I thrive off those kind of comparisons," he said to reporters.
"I love Gazza, I've watched his documentary on Netflix about a million times, I love his character on the pitch and off the pitch.
"I love the way he played football with all the freedom and all the joy.
"You hear so many people talk about him and say he was just a joy to watch and I think that's the biggest compliment you can have, really.
"I want to entertain people but I also want to be effective on the pitch like Gazza was too.
"I think those comparisons are far away yet because I've not even played at a tournament like he did. He thrived on the biggest stage and, until I do that, I can't really be compared to him."
Reflecting on the sort of pressure Gascoigne was under, Grealish says he feels he is mature enough to not let it impact him.
"I think I'm now old enough and wise enough to handle that now," he said.
"As you get older, you learn you are a hero to a lot of people and you are a role model. I've got to take it in my stride, and I'm just loving my life."
