'Do I think the drive for five will be ended next Saturday? No, I don’t' - Paul Caffrey's verdict on Dublin vs Mayo

Dublin and Mayo will present some fascinating match-ups this Saturday in Croke Park.

But former Dubs boss Paul 'Pillar' Caffrey doesn't see anything but a win for the defending champions.

"The match-ups will be fascinating," Caffrey wrote in his Irish Daily Mirror column.

"Lee Keegan is a utility man for Mayo. Will he be used to try and nullify Brian Fenton or will he placed on Ciaran Kilkenny again?

"Paddy Durcan is also quite a weapon now as well, but Dublin have more of them and when you put it all down on paper it’s going to require a big swing in form for Mayo to outgun them.

"As well as Mayo did against Donegal, the conversion rate of their forwards hasn’t been good enough so far this year to beat a team like Dublin, who will likely be in excess of 60% themselves and will likely put up a decent score.

"We’ve seen Mayo rattle Dublin over the years - and they will believe they can beat them - but I’m not so sure it’ll go down to the wire this time.

"There’ll be huge respect for Mayo from Dublin and they’ve certainly earned that, but do I think the drive for five will be ended next Saturday? No, I don’t."
