Do away goals count in the Championship, League One and League Two play-offs?

The domestic league campaigns are over and the play-offs are now upon us.

In the Championship, Bournemouth face Brentford while Swansea City have been drawn against Barnsley for a place in the Premier League.

In League One, Oxford United are up against Blackpool and Lincoln will play Sunderland.

And in League Two, Newport County face Forest Green and Tranmere play Morecambe.

The play-offs are often drama-dominated spectacles and games are sometimes decided by the finest of margins.

But are away goals at play during the knockout ties?

No, they aren't.

According to the EFL website: "The winner of a semi-finals is decided by the tie's aggregate score after the two legs. If the aggregate score is level at the end of the 90 minutes of the second leg, then an additional 30 minutes of extra time is played to try to create a winning team.

"If the score at the end of extra time is still level then the tie is decided by penalty kicks. Away goals do not count in the play-off semi-final matches."
