DL Darius Philon fitting in nicely with new Cardinals teammates

An understated signing the Arizona Cardinals made in free agency was defensive lineman Darius Philon. He has wasted no time in fitting in with his teammates despite being with the team for the first time.

According to team digital correspondent Craig Grialou on the Arizona Cardinals Cover 2 show, Philon doesn’t seem like he is a newcomer.

“I don’t know that I have been around someone who has been signed and then ingratiated himself so quickly, a part of a team, as Darius Philon,” he said. “Everyone just loves, not just being around him but with him. He has this infectious personality, this smile, but everyone kind of gravitates towards him.”

Philon has only been with his teammates a few months, but “he seems like he’s been here two or three seasons,” Grialou added.

So what does he add to the team in terms of personality”

Philon explained in the same episode of the show.

“I’m the guy that’s going to make everybody smile and make everbody have fun,” he said. “That’s what it’s about. You can’t play this game without having fun.”

Philon added they crack a lot of jokes among the defensive linemen on the team.

Philon is expected to be a starter and has been a steady producer the last couple of years. If he can produce on the field as well as he fits in, he will end up being a steal of a signing this year.
