Novak Djokovic has become the fourth man in the Open era to win Wimbledon five times, edging Roger Federer in one of the greatest finals of all time.
Djokovic looked in serious strife having been blown out of the water in the second set, but fought back admirably to take the match to the wire, and eventually prevail 7-6 (7/5), 1-6, 7-6 (7/4), 4-6, 12-12 (7-3).
The fifth set was an all-time arm wrestle, with momentum swinging almost by the game. Djokovic saved two championship points to break Federer back, before going game for game with the Swiss until the newly-introduced fifth-set tiebreak law was induced with the score at 12-12.
More to come.
