A DJ has thanked Steven Gerrard for winning him a new army of fans after footage of the Rangers manager playing one of his songs went viral.
The clip of Gerrard arriving at Ibrox in his car and being greeted by fans whilst playing Owen Westlake’s track So Much Love emerged online last Saturday before his side’s 3-0 win over St Mirren.
Fans have since been downloading the track, featuring vocalist Lloyd Wade, in their thousands and it has climbed to number 11 on the iTunes dance charts.
The Light Blues clinched the Scottish Premiership crown the following day - giving the Liverpool legend his first trophy as a manager.

Now London-based house music DJ and producer Owen told of his delight that Gerrard and the Gers’ title win has given the five-year-old tune a new lease of life.
He said: “I’d like to say congratulations to Rangers and a big thanks to Steven Gerrard for jamming So Much Love on his drive through.
“I’d also like to say a big thank you to the Rangers fans for bringing a lot of attention to the record.
“Last weekend I was out for a walk when a friend text me to say the track was blowing up online because of the video with Steven Gerrard.
“It’s just been mad since and my phone hasn’t stopped ringing.”
Owen, 32, added: “The track was released in 2016 and that’s the crazy part of it.
“It’s an older track but somehow it has ended up in Gerrard’s car.
“I don’t know if it is coincidence or if it’s a favourite of his or just something he wanted to play to the Rangers fans but they loved it and it has brought the track back to life.
“We will now see what happens moving forward but I have got lots of exciting things to come.”

The title came after a 10-year wait by the Ibrox club and was secured with Celtic’s 0-0 draw against Dundee United.
The win was a massive achievement for Gerrard, 40, who was appointed as the Glasgow club’s manager in 2018.
It marked the first league title win in his career as both a player and manager.
The former England captain won everything he could with the Anfield giants other than the Premier League.
