An East Kilbride street were treated to some top festive tunes from DJ Santa while helping a food bank in the town.
Martin Marshall from MC Promotions and Events arranged for DJ Santa to blast out the tunes at Crawford Hill in Calderwood to entertain the neighbourhood recently.
During the four hour event, neighbours where also asked to make donations for EK Community Food Bank.
Martin has been organising collections since March during the Thursday ‘Clap for the NHS’.
He told the East Kilbride News: “I’m overwhelmed with the continued support from my neighbours, and putting up with me setting up the PA system.
“DJ Santa told me he had a blast providing the festive tunes.
“When I started playing the music back in March, the only neighbours I knew where the ones I would meet when out walking my dog Mylo.
“Now, I know nearly everyone, and not just known as Mylo’s dad. There is a bigger community feeling in our neighbourhood now, which is one positive thing that’s come out of 2020.”
Martin was asked by his neighbours to play some music on Christmas Eve, before everyone gathered outside at 6pm to ring bells for Santa.
