A DJ from Merseyside has reportedly lost more than a thousand pounds in bookings over just two weeks.
The Omicron variant of Covid-19 has raised fears across the UK with rising cases meaningmany Christmas parties have been cancelled.

Nick Morley is a DJ from Newton-le-Willows, and like many, has been hit hard recently by cancellations.
Nick told the ECHO: "It all started about three days after all this Omicron strain was announced, I had a couple of NHS parties cancel because they weren't allowed to have their parties now.
"Up to now it's probably cost me about a thousand pounds, and that's just in two weeks, for us DJs this is normally our busiest time, obviously January and February it goes quieter.
"What people need to realise too is that there's been no school discos either, because all the schools are in bubbles, normally I'd do so many school discos and there's not been any, not a single one.
"I work alongside my role as a DJ which is a good job really, but yeah it's been busy since lockdown was lifted, it's been busier than ever. These two weekends coming should be the busiest weekends of the year but it's just not this year."
