DJ Kshmr: Words can’t express how excited I am to be returning to India

After concerts by Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber and American music duo, The Chainsmokers, now Niles Hollowell-Dhar aka DJ Kshmr is set to perform in India. Talking about his solo six-city maiden India tour over 10 days, he says, “Words can’t express how excited I’m to be returning to India.”

The American DJ earlier performed at Sunburn (2015 in Goa and 2016 in Pune). This time around, his date with India begins on October 20 in Delhi, and after performances in Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad, his tour will culminate in Mumbai on October 29.

Kshmr’s India connect is strong and he hopes that fans will make his act special by being the “most energetic crowd” in the world. “I’m half Indian (his father is Indian)and still have a lot of family in India. The last time I was there, being on that stage and having my Dadaji (grandfather) there to see the crowd was the highlight of my career,” says the DJ, who recently performed at Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival.

So, when in India, will he do what the Indians do? We mean, spin Indian numbers. “Indeed, I’ve made some special remixes of Indian songs to play alongside my own,” says the artist who will donate proceeds of the Delhi concert to Child Rights And You (CRY).

Known for his popular tracks such as Secrets, Bazaar, and Megalodon, Kshmr is someone who has collaborated with the likes of Enrique Iglesias, Robin Thicke, Selena Gomez, R3hab, Tiësto, Carnage and Dimitri Vegas.
