DJ Jax Jones shares first snaps of his baby daughter and her unusual name

DJ Jax Jones and his wife have welcomed a baby girl together.

The star, best known for his collaborations with the likes of Demi Lovato, MNEK and Mabel, surprised fans with the announcement on Friday.

He shared a string of snaps of the tot, and revealed her unusual name which fans reckon holds a deeper meaning for the parents.

The first showed his baby's hand gripping her mum's finger, while in a second Jax cradles the newborn.

A third shows a candid, black and white look at his wife during the final stages of her pregnancy.

"I wanted to share with you guys that I'm now a father to a beautiful baby girl called Lawana," Jax wrote.

"My wife is amazing delivering her with no pain relief.

"I love them both with everything i have. I hear new sounds and see new colours."

In a follow-up comment, Jax laughed: "Btw I'm not feeding her in the second photo."

"Lawana" means "beautiful" in Thai - which could hark back to their 2017 Thailand wedding.

"We had water buffalos greeting the guests as they came in, and then the most amazing pool party as the after-party.

"Everyone ended up in the pool suited and booted!"
