Virat Kohli on Monday shared a new music video by DJ Frenzy, who provided music at the cricketer and his wife Anushka Sharma’s wedding receptions in Mumbai and Delhi. Virat had asked the musician, known for his mash-ups of Bhangra numbers, to compose a special song, a remix of a Gurdas Mann number. “Pure Genius,” Virat captioned the video.
“Finally, after months of anticipation, DJ Frenzy is back with the tune of the Summer,” the post continued, adding that DJ Frenzy’s song combines reggae beats and Punjabi folk music.
“Virat asked me to make a mix for Sajna Ve Sajna, but to be honest, this is one song that I’ve been avoiding mixing - when the original is perfect, there’s a high chance of ruining it when doing a mix. I wanted to do something big for this one, something different. Hopefully my mix does justice to the original,” said DJ Frenzy in a statement.
He has been teasing the release of the song, titled Summer Frenzy, for weeks.
After weeks of speculations, Virat and Anushka Sharma tied the knot in a private ceremony in Florence (the capital city of Tuscany) Italy, in December. The wedding ceremony took place with only close family and friends present at the function.
