You may have bought a pumpkin to carve out a spooky Jack-o'-lantern for Halloween this weekend.
But there is another creative way you can make use of the winter squash this season.
DIYers have been turning them into vases to either put inside their homes or outside on their porches for a stunning autumnal display.

And it'll certainly make for a beautiful centrepiece if you're hosting an autumn dinner party.
Expert florists Bloom & Wild have given a step-by-step guide on how to create the alternative vase for yourself.

Step 1:
Cut a hole in the top of the pumpkin.
As an extra step, you could always paint the pumpkin a different colour or buy a white pumpkin for a different look.
Step 2:
Scoop out the inside and replace with wet floral foam.
Step 3:
Add the blooms and foliage.

Sharing the idea to their Instagram, Bloom & Wild followers were left 'obsessed' with the design.
One of their followers responded: "Obsessed with this!!!" while another wrote: "Omg! Love this do much".
Another fan said: "This looks beautiful" and a fourth replied: "This is such a cute idea! So pretty".
