DIY SOS Bangor urgently need plasterers to help with The Big Build

TV show DIY SOS are urgently looking local plasterers to get involved with their big build in Co Down.

Nick Knowles and the 'Purple Shirts' team are currently in Bangor working on The Big Build project and they need local plasterers urgently to help out.

Taking to Instagram to share a selfie of them at work, presenter Nick Knowles said they need plasters after a series of no shows.

He posted: "We desperately need help on our DIY SOS in Bangor Northern Ireland. We unexpectedly need plasterers today and tomorrow. We thought people were coming but didn’t show. Could any plasterers help us out. Spread the word."

Anyone who is available to help out is asked to email amy.jones02@bbc.co.uk

Earlier in the week Knowles tweeted his thanks to a local North Down physio for helping him "getting the various bits of me reluctant to work to start working again."

He also thanked Ireland and Ulster rugby star Rory Best for the recommendation.
