DIY dad transforms basic shed into fully stocked hidden bar for £2,000

A dad has transformed a basic wooden shed into a trendy hidden bar that can be used inside and outside.

Terry Latham, 60, from Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, started building the bar in April 2020.

He had initially planned on building a covered BBQ area, but he changed his mind and decided on a bar instead.

After setting his sights on building a fully stocked, Terry set to work on creating the bar out of wooden panels.

The project took just four months to complete and cost £2,000.

The bar is complete with bar stools and a table, and is called 'Nuestro bar', and can be used inside and outside.

Terry, who worked as an engineer, said: "The roof section was built first with the intention of having a covered BBQ area but the idea changed as I was doing the work.

"I thought it may be good to make the bar hinged so it can be used inside or outside in good weather.

"All the panels can be removed as required to make an open area.

"We use it for alfresco dining and also as an extra room when having friends round."

Terry isn't the only one who has been putting his DIY skills to good use.
