Divock Origi says most Divock Origi thing ever after Liverpool's Champions League victory

Divock Origi was quick to down play his own heroics after he scored Liverpool's second goal in their Champions League final win over Spurs.

The Reds claimed their sixth European Cup following the win at Atletico's Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, with a first-half penalty from Mo Salah setting his side on the way, before Origi came off the bench to seal it for Jurgen Klopp's men three minutes from time.

Origi has made a name for himself so far this season by scoring big goals when it mattered most, with efforts against Everton and Newcastle United proving crucial in the Reds' Premier League campaign.

The forward then enhanced his reputation with Reds supporters when he hit a brace in the second-leg of his side's dramatic comeback win over Barcelona at Anfield.

But the Belgium, in true fashion, was quick to praise his side rather than himself when asked afterwards.

"We’ve done it," Origi told BT Sport following the game.

"I think it’s first about the team. I’m happy that I could play my part but every guy fought so hard. It’s just passion.

"You can see the fans, it’s a special day for Liverpool."
