Divock Origi has three interested parties as Liverpool weigh up January exodus

Liverpool have three clubs chasing Divock Origi ahead of January's deadline day after Luis Diaz sealed his move to Anfield.

The Reds have splashed the cash this month on the Porto winger, but his arrival could have a knock-on impact.

Diaz will provide competition for Sadio Mane and Mo Salah on the flanks whilst no doubt further limiting the minutes given to Origi.

The Belgian is already a fringe player with his influence largely limited to substitute cameos.

Burnley are the only Premier League club in for Origi, reports The Sun.

The Clarets, who are attempting to fight off relegation, have already lost Chris Wood this month after he left for Newcastle United.

They had looked to sign Dutch striker Wout Weghorst from German side Wolfsburg, but talks have not been productive.

Italian duo Fiorentina and Atalanta are the other two teams in for Origi.

The former saw Dusan Vlahovic leave for Serie A rivals Juventus and are now seeking reinforcements.

They want Origi to move to Florence and lead their attack with discussions already held regarding a move, either this month or in the summer.

Atalanta have made their interest known as they prepare themselves for bids for Duvan Zapata, meaning they too would be in the market for new faces.

Jurgen Klopp claimed earlier this month that the Belgian would not be sold despite accepting the landscape could change.

He told the club’s official website: “Div is not available. Div didn’t train, Div is still injured and still in recovery.

“So he cannot help us in this moment but I don’t see any kind of scenario – pretty much everything can happen in life – but from this moment I would say he will be here (beyond the end of the January transfer window).

“And hopefully, fit soon because we actually could use him quite well now.”

Liverpool's need for Origi may yet be lessened after the completed the signing of Luis Diaz from Porto.

The Colombian has was pictured in the club's kit before the £50m move was announced despite competition from Tottenham.

Origi's teammate Takumi Minamino is also weighing up his own future having failed to establish himself at Anfield.

The Japanese star headed out on loan previously to Southampton and could again leave temporarily.

Liverpool have rejected bids for Minamino but may be more open to his departure should they announce the Diaz deal.

Nathaniel Phillips is another man who could leave Anfield in the coming days.
