Diversity stars hurtle through the air strapped to jet packs in hair-raising stunt

Diversity is known for doing daring stunts and dances.

But the dance crew took things one step further when they were pictured hurtling through the air strapped to jet packs in a new hair-raising stunt.

Ashley Banjo, Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely were screaming with joy - or perhaps a little horror- as they were lifted off the floor.

The three had the packs attached to their arms to complete the gravity-defying stunt.

Of the trio, Jordan looked completely terrified to leave the safety of the ground while Ashley and Perri were having the time of their lives.

Ashley, 32, Jordan, 28, and Perri, 25, were all rocking army green hoodies with the word ‘grenade’ written across the chest.

While Ashley donned matching green sweatpants and beanie, Perri and Jordan opted for black and blue jeans respectively.

The dance crew even had to wear protective earmuffs.

Most recently, Ashley opened about how the group's Black Live Matter-themed dance routine divided his family.

The star stepped up during the last series of Britain's Got Talent to fill in for absentee judge Simon Cowell - who was recovering from a major injury - and during the finals took to the stage with the rest of Diversity.

And in a performance that sparked nearly 30,000 complaints to broadcasting watchdog Ofcom, the group depicted through dance the death of George Floyd, which over the summer provoked global protests.

Ashley openly discussed the importance of the routine and what it meant to him personally, even thanking ITV for sticking by him during the onslaught of complaints.

He explained to The Daily Star that it even saw his own family divided on the issue.

Ashley, who's currently starring in Dancing On Ice, said: "Even among my own family and friends the performance sparked conversation.

"There has been some negativity with my family. There was division.

"People didn't directly disagree with the performance but there was a conversation about if it was really necessary. I saw it happen in my own household.”

He continued: "And there are people who normally talk to me but suddenly we haven't spoken at all. Silence says a lot."
