An economic report released on Thursday showed that the policy of diversification of resources adopted by the United Arab Emirates has achieved eight economic gains by the end of 2017.
The report is based on the movement of sectors indices, which represent the artery of the economy.
These gains were based on a number of factors, namely increased private sector participation in overall development in general and the development of high added-value sectors in particular.
The list of sectors - which contributed to the increase of the country's gains in economic diversification - included manufacturing industries, knowledge industries, aerospace industry, transport, storage, financial services, tourism, new and renewable energy among other sectors.
According to the report, these sectors played a role in providing the right conditions to attract foreign direct investment and promote innovation, stressing that this development has been a catalyst for the establishment of industrial and free zones and the formation of partnerships with multinational companies.
The report expected UAE to achieve more gains in the medium and long terms.
