Wow! That's all I can say. Stop what you're doing and get this book! It doesn't matter what kind of book you like, it doesn't matter; you'll love it.
Now, I'm not big on romance (I find the whole thing a bit disgusting) and if you're like me then don't be put off. There is so much action and excitement that it doesn't matter.
My mum bought this from WHSmiths when we were shopping and I didn't expect much. It was behind a load of other books and it was lucky she spotted it! It's like fate (a bit cheesy I know!). Anyway, I brought it home and read the first page that night. I had just picked it up, as you do and read the first chapter. Then I read the second and the third and the fourth. I just couldn't put it down.
It is about a 16 year old girl, Beatrice Prior who lives in a world split into five factions. Abnegation (selfless), Dauntless (brave), Erudite (brainy), Amity (kind) and Candor (honest). When it comes the time that she has to chose, she doesn't know if she made the right choice.
Following a series of grueling initiation challenges, she makes friends and enemies. Beatrice (newly nicknamed Tris) finds herself making a special connection with instructor, Four. Is he the same as her? Does he have the same thing to hide? She'll need to battle to find out!
I would give this 5 out of 5 and I have made my brother read it (he's into comics and even he liked it!) and I'm going to lend it to my friend. I've made three of my friends look for it in the library. I am obsessed with this book!
