Disused church in Glasgow's south side could soon be turned into flats

A disused church in the south side could soon be turned into a new apartment block.

Southside Housing Association has submitted plans for flats at the site of the church at Mosspark Boulevard.

The proposed block would contain 35 apartments at the land on Ladybank Drive.

The Mosspark United Church has been closed since 2019 and has since been offered for sale to the housing association.

If given the go-ahead, the properties would be affordable housing for social rent.

A document submitted with the application reads: "The new homes designed for this scheme aid to provide high-quality living. The mix includes one, two and three-bed flats, including adaptable standard accommodation."

The plans are set to be considered by Glasgow City Council.
