A disused 1950s building in Cheltenham is set to be demolished and turned into homes after being sold off for £2.25m.
The old BT repeater station on Parabola Road, in Montpelier, was sold to Brookworth Homes by property firm Telereal Trillium .
Under the plans, the existing building will be demolished and the site will be redeveloped into 12 luxury flats.
Telereal Trillium secured planning permission to demolish the vacant, two-storey building in March 2020 but will not be involved in the direct development of the scheme.
Tom Harling, senior development and disposals manager at Telereal Trillium, said: “We are pleased to reach an agreement with Brookworth Homes on this redevelopment which will bring a derelict brownfield site in central Cheltenham back in to use.
“It will provide high-quality housing more in character with the neighbouring contemporary and periodic buildings on Parabola Road.”
Brookworth Homes, based in Reigate, Surrey, recently opened a new regional office in Cirencester.
The residential developer, which has already delivered a number of schemes in the South East, said it was now looking to expand into the South West.

Telereal Trillium is also behind a number of developments in Cheltenham, including the now-completed Oriel House in Montpelier and Rivershill on St. Georges Road, which is still under construction.
