Disturbing video shows group of teens attacking two schoolgirls in Glasgow

Shocking footage has emerged of a group of teens violently attacking two Glasgow schoolgirls.

A video of the vicious incident involving Holyrood Secondary School pupils, which took place off of school grounds during lunchtime on Monday was shared online by the mum of one of the victims.

In the footage a group of teenage girls can be seen pushing two classmates to the ground as they launch an attack.

The group of students can be seen punching and kicking the victims who are on the ground.

The two victims throw their arms around their heads to shield themselves from the punches.

One pupil tries to help the two girls stand up but another female pupil launches another attack.

One teenage girl can be seen pulling the two victims' hair and dragging them across the floor.

Fellow students can be seen gathered around the fight, which appears to have taken place in a dining hall, as others film the attack.

After the fight is broken up, one of the attackers is struck by a red chair and picks it up, launching it off camera.

The sickening clip was shared by the victim's mum who claims the school failed to inform her her daughter had been attacked earlier in the day and that she was absent from classes.

She also alleged she had to call the school herself and was informed that teachers were 'too busy' to arrange a face to face meeting following the shocking attack.

Branding the schools a "shambles" she added that her daughter was on a waiting list to be moved.

Glasgow City Council confirmed they were aware of the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Two 15-year-old girls have been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault on a 15-year-old girl on Cathcart Road around 1.30pm on Monday, 31 January.

"They were released on an undertaking to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date. A report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.

"The injured girl was taken to hospital then later released."
