Disturbance on-board train at Queens Park station causing delays to rail services

A disturbance on board a train at Queens Park station on the southside of Glasgow is causing delays to rail services in the city.

Photos shared to social media from the scene shows at least seven police vans and cars in attendance at the station, with crowds of onlookers gathered on Victoria Road.

ScotRail confirmed the incident this afternoon.

They tweeted: "Due to a disturbance on a train at Queens Park, all services through the station may be delayed or revised. We're currently waiting on British Transport Police attending."

ScotRail have since confirmed that trains are now able to run normally through Queens Park, but there may be some knock-on delays as a result of the earlier incident.

Both Police Scotland and British Transport Police have been approached for comment.
