A lane closure in Shakespeare Street in the city centre is causing 'significant delays' to traffic.
The closure of the lane and path is due to Vital Energi District Heating works.
The city council said it was the final phase of the heating works on Shakespeare Street.
The works will involve closing and excavating in the nearside lane eastbound and footpath outside of the YMCA for three weeks.
Nottingham city council advised people to allow extra time for their journeys.
Works on the road are due to finish on November 6 at around 4pm.
