District Attorney Fani Willis Concludes Testimony In High-Profile Trial

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis holds a press conference after the indictment of Donald Trump

The trial of District Attorney Fani Willis continued today with a brief questioning of the witness. The defense attorney asked Ms. Willis if her father had visited her during the time period between February 2021 and January 2022 while she was staying at the Yurti condo. Ms. Willis confirmed that her father did not visit her during that time.

Following this question, the judge announced that they had reached a stopping point for the day. Ms. Willis was asked to step down and reminded not to discuss her testimony or that of any other witnesses until the next morning when the trial would resume at 9 a.m.

Logistics were then discussed, and it was revealed that two more witnesses were expected to be called by the defense. The state had objected to one potential witness, and further discussions were planned regarding this matter. No other witnesses were anticipated from the defense counsel.

The issue of Delta Airlines records was also addressed during the proceedings. The state had filed a motion to quash on behalf of Ms. Willis, but she clarified that she had not filed a motion herself. She objected to what she referred to as a 'fishing expedition' and stated that she had just received notice of the records recently. She introduced a new record from Delta Airlines and assured the court that there would be no further new production in the Delta records.

The judge agreed to review the Delta Airlines records and determine if any further action was necessary. The defense attorney expressed no objection to this and stated that they did not want to burden the court with unnecessary information.

The trial will continue tomorrow with the defense attorney expecting to call several witnesses, which is estimated to take four to five hours. The exact number of witnesses was not disclosed at this time.

Overall, today's proceedings provided some insight into the timeline of events and logistics for the trial. The defense is preparing to present their case, and the judge will review the Delta Airlines records before making any decisions regarding their admissibility.
